Book Review: Racing The Sun by Karina Halle

4 Beautiful Mother of Stars
I like books that make me weep. But I love books that make me feel good after reading them. And I can say I totally fell in love with Racing The Sun.
This is my first Karina Halle book. Her books has been sitting in my TBR list but never really took it by heart to read them. Well, shame on me. After reading Racing The Sun I immediately put her books on my read-it-or-you'll-die list. (Bahaaa!)
But on a serious note, Karina Halle writes awesome. Racing The Sun is definitely something that you cannot not read! If you haven't been to Italy, especially in Capri, this book is your free ticket to explore the amazing country. Karina Halle took me to a place I haven't been but feels like I've just gone back from there after reading the book. The way she wrote it I can almost feel the summer heat of Capri, the sand, the hill, and the rocky beaches.
The author definitely knows how to tell a good story. With other books I've read, I fell inlove with the hero earlier than the heroine herself (lol). But in this book Karina Halle made me fall in love on the exact moment when I should feel it, I feel inlove with Derio the same time Amber did.
The story was so enggaging in a way that you feel you're in it as well, that you're part of the story and not just a reader.

Not You It's Me by Julie Johnson_Review

***ARC provided by the amazing author herself for an honest review.***

5 I-am-so-inlove-with-Croft Stars!!!

I read this book in advance, before it's release. After reading it I was so excited for everybody to read it. I knew for a fact that readers will surely love it. And looookkkk. Look at these amazing reviews! They keep on coming. They love it just like I do.

I love all Julie Johnson's book. All of 'em are my favorite. But this. This wonderfully written book is my favorite among favorites!

Julie Johnson is one of those authors who make reading such a pleasure.

I think Chase Croft ruined me for other book boyfie. Sigh. Hey Julie, can you write a companion book for Not You It's Me too? On how to move on from Chase Croft? No. No. Scratch that. I don't want to move on. Lol. I can't wait for everyone to read it!!!

KICK PUSH by Jay McLean Review

KICK PUSH

An ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

4 I-ache-all-over Stars!!!

I didn't expect that this book will had me in tears. And I wish Jay McLean was beside me while I'm reading this book so I could scream at her. You made bleed, woman! I wasn't just crying. I sobbed ugly. Because what else can I do? I was gutted. Right in the feels.

I also didn't expect that this book will turn out the way it did. I was overwhelmed with so many emotions. I cried on so may pages and chapters. Even the happy ones made me cry. Because what else can I do? It feels so good.

This book is a mix of everything a reader want in a story. I don't want to give out so many details about this book because I want you to be the one to feel it.

I ache all over. Good ache and bad ache. And I love authors that made me feel like I'm part of the story they wrote. I'm so excited for the next book!

This story is way different from all other books she wrote. We'll sure all her books are amazing, but she's evolving with glitters on this one. Jay McLean just sealed my life to reading.

Kick. Push. Coast.

P.S. I also posted this review on Book Lovers's Nook blog.

REVIEW: Elements of Chemistry Penny Reid

4 atomic bomb stars!!!
Serial novels no longer appeal to me like they used to. I'm more of a standalone reader. I like fast reads. I hate waiting for the next book to come only to realize that the next book is as cliffy as the first because fvck it! The author decided to end the story in book 3.
confused_rev emoticon
But oh the buts. This book made it easy for me to embrace the 3-part story. After reading the entire 3 books I was vouching for a part 4. Teehee.
What's not to like? Everything feels oh-so-good. Every chemical in my body reacts to this book.
I have so much adoration with Penny Reid. I love her brain I wanna marry it! Lol.
What I love most in this book is the character of the heroine. She's a breath of fresh air. No petty drama. She always say what she feels. She portrays what a woman should be. Thank you, Penny Reid, for creating her! I love Kaitlyn Parker!!!
And of course Sandeke. Gag! I wanna crawl inside the book and do him! confused_rev emoticon
If you want a smart read I highly recommend this book.

FALLING

I've been waiting
for that fatal fall that will robbed the life out of me.

I've been waiting

for that painful fall that only time can heal.

I've been waiting
for that bone-crashing fall that breaks the promise of the midnight sun.

I've been waiting
for that maddening fall without any hope of sanity.

I've been waiting
for that ground-breaking fall that would mean the world to end.

I've been waiting
for the kind of fall that both kills and resurrects the heart.

Penning My Emotions

I believe that some memories are worth penning down, for every good moments are worth remembering.

I was 10 when I started keeping a diary, even until now. It's one thing I can't live without.

Since then, I was used on penning all my emotions. Be it sadness, happiness, pain, jealousy, heartaches, etc.

It was my way of releasing different overwhelming feelings inside of me, especially when my heart can't take it no more. Things I could not tell to anyone. Things I don't want others to know. It's my only refuge.

Countless drops of my tears stained some several pages. Different colors of pens have stroked the leaves of it. Many words were penned on it.

I have read many good novels all my life but my diary will forever be my favorite book.

Why?

Because what's written in there tells the story of my life.
